The role involves providing hands-On teaching in the field and laboratory, supporting students through academic advising, and potentially participating in meaningful research experiences within the department of geology. Lecturers will be assigned courses based on their expertise from a list including general geology, field geology, and specialized topics.
A minimum requirement for teaching is a master of arts or master of science in geoscience or a related field, along with successful teaching, academic, or professional work experience related to the assigned course topic. Preferred qualifications include a phd in geosciences and demonstrated expertise in the specific assignment topic.
