Associate vice president of student success & dean of students

The associate vice president (Avp) of student success & dean of students reports to the vp for enrollment management and student success, serving as a senior leader responsible for strategic, university-Level leadership for non-Academic student support services. This role oversees units including the office of the dean of students and student life, managing personnel, budget, policy development, and ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and student success goals.

Minimum requirements include a master’s degree or higher in a related field and eight years of progressively responsible management experience in higher education, including two years of direct leadership in student support and conduct oversight. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to equity and possess extensive knowledge of student affairs regulations, best practices for student conduct, and strong executive-Level management skills.
