The research associate will lead and catalyze research in interdisciplinary ocean and fisheries economics, coordinate feru initiatives, and collaborate on economic modeling, assessment, and development related to ocean resource conservation. They will also communicate findings, advise staff and students, and prepare scientific papers and policy documents.
Applicants must possess a phd in a field related to interdisciplinary marine science and economics, along with at least eight years of professional experience beyond the phd in the same fields, including specific knowledge of deep sea mining. Essential attributes include strong analytical skills, experience in conservation implementation, a proven publication record, and the ability to secure research funding.
