Early childhood educators are responsible for providing quality care and designing creative, age-Appropriate programming based on the ymca playing to learn curriculum to ensure a safe and engaging environment for all children. They must also build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues while maintaining compliance with all licensing and organizational standards.
Candidates must possess a basic early childhood educator certification recognized in british columbia, strong verbal and written communication skills, and be able to obtain emergency first aid and cpr-C & aed certification within 30 days of starting. An infant toddler educator or special needs educator license, along with relevant child development training, are considered assets.
