The aquatic lead will act as the lead staff on duty, overseeing the daily operations of swimming lessons and guarding for aquatics programs, while performing lifeguard duties to ensure a safe environment. Key duties include acting as the head instructor/Lifeguard during various programs, providing on-Deck coaching to instructors, responding to emergencies, and instructing various aquatic classes.
Candidates must possess an ontario secondary school diploma or equivalent and hold several current certifications, including national lifeguard (Pool option), swim instructors, lifesaving instructors, emergency first aid instructors, bronze examiner, and aquatic supervisor certification. A minimum of one year of experience as a swim instructor, lifeguard, deck supervisor, or equivalent, teaching bronze level courses and aquafit, is also required.
