The successful candidate will maintain a productive field pea breeding program, developing and releasing improved varieties for western canadian agriculture, while also teaching at undergraduate and/Or graduate levels. This role requires supervising graduate students, mentoring post-Graduate fellows, and performing necessary outreach activities.
Applicants must possess a ph.d. In plant breeding, genetics, or a related discipline, along with demonstrated experience in plant breeding and crop improvement, and excellent communication skills for outreach. A proven track record of publications, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish an independent, externally funded research program are essential.
