The department assistant will develop, coordinate, and instruct undergraduate plant ecology and plant agriculture laboratory courses, including designing, preparing, teaching, and supervising laboratory exercises in consultation with course instructors. Key duties involve organizing off-Campus field trips, maintaining teaching materials, supervising student teaching assistants, and ensuring the smooth delivery of all laboratory classes.
A preferred qualification is an m.sc. Degree in plant science or a related area, though lesser qualifications with substantial experience will be considered, requiring several years of teaching or related experience in plant sciences. Essential skills include the ability to work independently, strong technical knowledge in plant ecology and agriculture, effective communication, and proficiency with microsoft office applications.
