• Date: July 10, 2026</b></p><p> <strong>Reports To: Principal</strong> </p><p><b>Position Overview</b></p><p>'Na Aksa Gyilak'yoo School is seeking a passionate and dedicated <b>High School Mathematics and Science</b> educator to join our team. This position would also be combined with Learner Support work as well as other duties. This position is ideal for someone who values holistic education and is committed to integrating <strong>Tsimshian language and culture</strong> into daily teaching practices.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and deliver dynamic lesson plans aligned with BC Curriculum Standards in mathematics and science. </li> <li> Foster a classroom environment that encourages discussion, inquiry, and respect for diverse perspectives. </li> <li> Integrate technology, current events, and project-based learning into instruction. </li> <li> Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments. </li> <li> Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate records of student performance. </li> <li> Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities. </li> <li> Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development. </li> <li> Uphold school policies and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture. </li> <li> Prepared to actively engage in sustained cycles of assessment and intervention around student learning </li> </ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>BC Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification). </li> <li> Experience teaching High School Mathematics and Science </li> <li> Knowledge of or willingness to learn Tsimshian language and cultural practices. </li> <li> Strong classroom management and communication skills. </li> <li> Commitment to Indigenous education and reconciliation. </li> </ul><p><b>Cultural
