Requirements summary

Excellent understanding and recent successful experience teaching Physical and Health Education.
Disposition and skills to engage Kindergarten to Grade 7 students in physical activity to build physical literacy.
Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
Familiarity with the BC Curriculum including Core Competencies and Know, Understand, Do.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills; ability to work cooperatively with educators.
Clear understanding of elementary student developmental stages and ability to create a positive learning environment.
Demonstrated understanding of or willingness to learn and implement IB PYP philosophy in lesson planning, delivery, and assessment.
Competent teaching methods for primary and intermediate-aged students.
