Requirements summary
Bachelor of Education (Secondary Education) or equivalent.
BC Teacher Certification.
Valid First Aid Certification.
Journeyperson certification, Red Seal endorsement, or related industry experience preferred.
Knowledgeable of skilled trades, Journeyperson, Red Seal, apprenticeship programs, dual credit programs and workplace learning.
Strong organizational, communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with employers, community agencies, and educational partners.
Ability to mentor and motivate youth from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of First Nations schools and culturally responsive instruction.
Excellent understanding of safety, WorkSafeBC regulations, and classroom/shop management skills.
