School of Social Work CUPE, Term, Part-time, Hourly (Minimum 20 hours per Week) June 2026 to September 2026 Internal applicants from CUPE Local 3799 will be given priority consideration. This position will support local knowledge translation and exchange (KTE) activities for Project Acceptance and Commitment to Empowerment (ACE) in the Northwestern BC region, leading to a community event in Northwestern British Columbia in mid-to-late August. This is a four-month term, with the possibility of an extension.
Duties include but are not limited to: Developing audience-centered knowledge translation products (e.g., infographics, summaries, art installments/exhibitions); Assisting with manuscript preparation and dissemination activities; Supporting planning and delivery of a community knowledge exchange forum (in mid-August); and Providing administrative and coordination support for research activities and planning meetings.
The successful candidate will possess the following: Post-secondary education (in progress or completed) or equivalent experience; Strong connections with immigrant and newcomer communities in Northwest BC; Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks; Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; and Additional language(s) is an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Salary This position has been classified at a Grade 2. The salary range for this position is $24.02 to $24.99 and the normal starting salary will be $24.02 per hour.
