The Clinical Nurse Educator establishes best practices and manages educational programming, including unit orientation and in-servicing. They act as a clinical resource and collaborate with an interprofessional team to ensure high-quality, safe client care.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and be registered or eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and the BLS Instructor Certificate.

This is accomplished by assisting in establishing and maintaining best practice; assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating unit orientation, in-servicing and other educational programming; assessing learning needs; acting as a clinical resource; promoting client and family centered care; participating in committee work as assigned; participating in continuous improvement activities; developing and maintaining client and staff resources. Incumbent functions as a member of the interprofessional clinical team to promote effective delivery of client care, including regular direct communication and input from the unit manager(s) of Nursing.
