EINL 200 – Culture and the Acquisition of Language and Literacy This course provides students with an understanding and analysis of how culture influences the development of language, literacy and communication skills, with a particular focus on the language experiences of Aboriginal peoples in Canada. PREREQUISITES: 2nd year standing or permission of instructor. This course is restricted to students in the YNTEP program Position Requirements This course is part of the University of Regina’s Faculty of Education Bachelor of Education YNTEP Program offered in Whitehorse, YT. Normally it is preferred that applicants will have a Master of Education degree appropriate to the area of instruction. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied. University teaching experience is an asset. Preference may be given to local candidates. Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional
