- Teachers are expected to organize games and challenges that promote physical activity among children from Kindergarten to Grade 7, as well as support, promote, and help organize the athletic extra-curricular program within the school.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have experience teaching physical education classes to children aged 5 - 12 as well as experience in coaching a variety of community sports.
- Candidates should have a valid BC Teaching Certificate and have excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Furthermore, candidates should have experience in classroom management and assessment.</p><p>Like all instructors, PE teachers must have strong speaking and listening skills.
- Besides being knowledgeable about an activity, they need to be able to communicate and demonstrate it properly.
- PE teachers must be able to observe all their students and maintain discipline within the class.
