Position overview

As a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), you will implement high-quality educational programming that supports the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children. Reporting to the Team Mentor, you’ll work collaboratively with your team to plan curriculum experiences, maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment, and build meaningful relationships with families and children. You’ll be a role model of professionalism and an ambassador for the Childventures philosophy of learning.

• Key responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging curriculum experiences aligned with Childventures' philosophy and standards
• Customize programming based on observations and children’s developmental stages and interests
• Conduct regular observations and maintain accurate documentation and child records
• Establish safe, consistent routines and foster a warm, inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding each child’s development
• Support licensing, health, and safety inspections and ensure regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with your Team Mentor and Centre Director to maintain and enhance program quality
• Participate in quality assurance processes, including internal assessments and environmental ratings
• Attend curriculum and professional development sessions to continually grow your practice
• Other duties as assigned to support classroom and centre success

Qualifications

• Education & Certification
• Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized Ontario institution
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE)

• Experience
• Experience in a licensed childcare setting is an asset

• Knowledge & Skills
• Familiarity with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and current educational practices
• Passion for early learning and a commitment to quality and safety

• 2 Step TB
• Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
• Health Assessment (deemed fit for work)
• Vulnerable Sector Check
• Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
