Core responsibilities
The specialist conducts functional low vision assessments and provides training on optical and non-Optical aids to help clients maximize their residual vision. They also collaborate with healthcare professionals and provide ongoing support to individuals and families adjusting to vision loss.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree in a healthcare or vision-Related field and meet the requirements of the vlrc national vision rehabilitation training program. Professional certification such as acvrep, coc, aoc, or equivalent is required or must be attainable.
