Specialist, Assistive Technology

This position involves assessing, recommending, and demonstrating assistive technology hardware and software for individuals with vision loss, while also developing and instructing in assistive software training programs. The specialist will also participate in education and awareness activities, providing functional expertise for the service and operations program.

Candidates must possess knowledge and experience working with clients of all ages experiencing vision loss, along with a general understanding of other disabilities and life stages affecting assistive technology selection. Required education includes a college diploma or university degree in technology, supplemented by courses or a certificate in teaching and training.
