Specialist, Low Vision

The specialist conducts functional low vision assessments and provides training on optical and non-Optical aids to help clients maximize their residual vision. They also collaborate with healthcare professionals and provide education to individuals and their families regarding vision health and adjustment to vision loss.

Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree in a healthcare or vision-Related field and meet the requirements of the vlrc national vision rehabilitation training program. Professional certification such as acvrep, coc, aoc, or equivalent is required or must be attainable.
