Undergraduate Nurse Employee (UNE)

The undergraduate nursing employee (Une) provides patient-Centered care under the supervision of a registered nurse (Rn) or registered psychiatric nurse (Rpn). The une is responsible for consolidating knowledge and skills acquired in their nursing education program while ensuring safe nursing care.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in an approved nursing education program and have completed a minimum of 450 hours of clinical practice. Additional qualifications include the ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
