Job Description
Early Learning Support Assistant is an 8-week full-time summer position at NorWest Early Learning and Child Care Centre. The role supports staff with children’s daily routines, activities, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. Employment is subject to eligibility under the Manitoba Green Team Program and must be legally entitled to work in Canada and possesses a valid Social Insurance Number.
Qualifications
Current First-Aid and CPR certification (Level C) Must be energetic, friendly and enthusiastic and willing to take initiative Flexible, reliable, consistent, and take pride in your work Subject to successful criminal record with vulnerable sector search & child abuse registry check. Must complete online training “Commit to Kids” immediately upon hire Ability to work collaboratively, transparently, and professionally
Responsibilities
Keeping the center and outdoor play space clean, safe, and organized Ensure toys, games, and activity areas are safe, organized, and well-maintained Staying on top of routines To provide emotional support and nurturing care to children Communicate regularly with Child Care staff, children, and families Assisting with daily routines Assist with the supervision and engagement of children in daily activities
Assist in maintaining accurate attendance records Other duties as assigned
