The Role The department of Education requires Part Time Sessional faculty to instruct the Fall and Winter Semesters in the Early Learning and Child Care, and Educational Assistant Programs

Job Requirements The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a related field and significant experience in early childhood development. Instruction and/or research at the post-secondary level is an asset. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:
  • Demonstrated success and professionalism in Early Childhood Education including teaching, child care, or a child development specialization, and an understanding of early childhood development and pedagogy.
  • Experience in the Alberta Early Learning and Child Care system and knowledge of the northern Alberta context is an asset.
  • Highly qualified faculty, who seek to continuously improve instruction and meet the need of learners.
  • Candidates must be able to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles.
