Lifeguard & Swim Instructor

Swim instructors teach and examine using the ymca swim lesson program curriculum, developing sequential weekly lesson plans tailored to participant needs while maintaining a safe environment. Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe aquatic environment, adhering to all safety procedures, and ensuring pool conduct guidelines are followed.

Candidates must hold current certifications including national lifeguard (Nl), standard first aid & cpr level c, and a ymca or lifesaving society swim instructor certification. Experience in instructing or lifeguarding is an asset, along with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
