Core responsibilities
The incumbent designs and implements programs to advance reconciliation by embedding indigenous knowledge, perspectives, and ways of knowing into curricula and teaching practices, working collaboratively with faculty and staff. Duties include developing professional learning opportunities, leading indigenous pedagogy programs, and supporting the meaningful integration of indigenous histories and voices into instructional strategies.
Requirements summary
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in education or related field, or equivalent knowledge, along with a minimum of three years of teaching experience and demonstrated success in two or more curriculum or program development projects with indigenous content. Candidates must possess demonstrated knowledge of indigenous pedagogical methodologies and the ability to draw on lived experience to inform these approaches.
