The student attendant primarily attends to the physical needs of exceptional learners, which includes assistance with feeding, hygiene, clothing, and toileting, as well as supporting movement within the school and during community visits. This role specifically excludes assisting teachers with instructional duties, preparing learning aids, or implementing academic or behavioral programming.
Candidates must be willing to be trained to support learners with exceptional needs and must possess the ability to read, write, and relate to exceptional learners. Applicants are expected to live within anglophone west school district boundaries due to the need for timely, short-Notice deployment.
