The school nurse supports the health and well-Being of grades 8–12 students by providing direct care, health education, and preventative services, while working closely with the student support team to ensure coordinated care. Responsibilities include assessing and managing health concerns, providing guidance on health matters, delivering health education, and maintaining accurate medical documentation.
Required qualifications include current bccnp registration as an rn or lpn, a valid basic life support (Hcp) certification, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric or acute care setting. Candidates must also possess effective management skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and be legally entitled to work in canada.
