Student - Community Justice Multidisciplinary Team

Students will be placed with either the youth mental health court worker or the transitional youth justice worker, focusing on supporting youth involved in the justice system. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, facilitating referrals, preparing service plans, advocating for clients, and maintaining professional contacts.

This role is designated for students completing placements, with recommended programs including criminology, social work, psychology, and various child and youth care or social services worker fields. The work involves supporting youth transitioning from custody or dealing with mental health issues within the justice system.
