The indigenous awake overnight staff will support indigenous children and youth in a culturally safe home by ensuring their daily needs are met, implementing skill development strategies, and managing crises during overnight hours. Responsibilities also include conducting hourly room checks, documenting incidents, supporting overall well-Being, and assisting with household tasks.
A diploma or degree in a related field and previous experience working with vulnerable children and families are preferred, with experience in community group care being an asset. Candidates must possess a deep understanding of indigenous ways of knowing, be willing to work an unstructured schedule including holidays, and must meet stringent driving and background check requirements.
