The education officer is responsible for providing union educational services and programs covering union/Social justice, labour relations, health care, and leadership education to members and staff at various organizational levels. This includes contributing to program development, designing and facilitating courses, managing learning technologies like the lms, and ensuring alignment with the bcnu's organizational strategy.
Candidates must possess a college or university education in adult education, social sciences, or nursing, supplemented by adult education courses, or equivalent experience. Required experience includes 3-5 years in instructional design, needs assessment, course development/Delivery, and program coordination, along with a commitment to social justice and knowledge of trade union and nursing issues.
