Responsibilities include assessing patients' physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs, and developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. The role also involves incorporating teaching into care plans to educate patients and families, making necessary referrals, and supporting fellow healthcare professionals.
Applicants must possess current practicing registration as a registered nurse with the british columbia college of nurses and midwives (Bccnm) and are required to successfully complete the post-Basic education program if they lack the specific qualifications. Eligibility for funded education requires a minimum of 1-2 years of medical/Surgical experience (2 years preferred).
