Job description

  • <p><strong>Employment Opportunity</strong><strong><i> </i></strong><strong>Intermediate Classroom Teacher </strong></p><p><i>Job Type:</i> Intermediate Classroom Teacher for Neqweyqwelsten School </p><p>Neqweyqwelsten school is dedicated to fostering independent students by setting high expectations for continuous mastery of learning by providing quality instruction in a positive, safe environment and home support that is healthy, consistent and celebrates success. </p><p>The purpose of this position is to plan for, deliver and monitor individualized educational services for Neqweyqwelsten students that adhere to the Philosophy, Goals and Mission Statement of Neqweyqwelsten School. </p><p> The successful candidate will be collaborative, energetic, innovative, have strong communication skills and work as a part of a larger school-based team </p><p>Experience/knowledge of project based learning, outdoor education, and being proficient with technology would be an asset. </p><p>Start date: August 18 </p><p>Term: 1 year (with opportunity to renew based on performance) </p><p>Qualifications candidates should possess: </p><ul><li>Current and good standing with the BC Teacher Regulation Branch </li><li>significant related work experience </li><li>knowledge of First Nations history and culture </li></ul><strong>Salary: </strong>commensurate with experience and credentials. <p><strong>Application </strong><strong> </strong><strong>deadline: </strong><strong> </strong><strong> </strong> External Applicant Deadline June 18, 2025.
