The Band strives to support the membership and community, while preserving its cultural and traditional values. The Skeetchestn Community School offers Kindergarten through Grade 12.</span></p> <p><strong><em><span>DESCRIPTION:</span></em></strong></p> <p><span>Under the direction of the Principal, </span><span>this position is responsible for performing janitorial duties for Skeetchestn Community School and related areas. Quality customer service will be provided to the client at all times. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential. </span></p> <p><span></span></p> <p><span></span><strong><span>Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to: </span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span>Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs </span></li> <li><span>Clean and sanitize bathrooms </span></li> <li><span>Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms </span></li> <li><span>Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas </span></li> <li><span>Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary </span></li> <li><span>Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered </span></li> <li><span>Cleaning windowsills and windows </span></li> <li><span>Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner </span></li> <li><span>Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition </span></li> <li><span>Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals </span></li> <li><span>Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times </span></li> <li><span>R</span><span>outine maintenance duties as assigned </span></li> <li><span>Member of Skeetchestn Indian Band Safety team</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><em><span></span></em></strong></p> <p><strong><em><span>QUALIFICATIONS: </span></em></strong></p> <p><span>-Have a demonstrated interest in success for all learners and a belief that proper intervention can result in greater opportunities</span></p> <p><span>-Be a proactive and self starter who will show initiative and operate with minimum supervision</span></p> <p><span>- Mechanically inclined and able to solve minor issues.</span></p> <p><span>-Have a pleasant, amiable disposition in working with students, professional staff and parents</span></p> <p><span>-Have the ability and ready willingness to listen to and follow directions for duties to be performed</span></p> <p><span>-Be able to handle behaviour concerns in a rational, equitable and respectful manner</span></p> <p><span>-Be able to work constructively as a team player as school programs are being developed</span></p> <p><span>-Perform duties in a friendly, supportive, caring manner towards staff, students and visitors to the school</span><span> </span></p> <p><strong><em><span>REQUIREMENTS
