Anaesthesia assistants provide clinical support to anesthesiologists in various settings, including the or and satellite areas. They assist with patient management, induction, intraoperative care, and ensure the safe operation of anesthesia equipment.
Candidates must complete an accredited post-Graduate anaesthesia assistant program and have three years of recent clinical care experience. They should also be eligible for registration with the canadian society of respiratory therapists or membership with the canadian anaesthesiologists' society.
