Introductory Spanish I instruction for students with little or no Spanish experience. Teach basic skills including pronunciation, reading, writing, and conversation. Instruct students in basic grammar, syntax, and vocabulary for culturally appropriate interaction. Provide one office hour per week. Complete preparatory work before the start date. Perform grading tasks after the termination date
At least a B.A. in a related discipline. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English. Experience and evidence of teaching ability in the relevant language (preference for more university-level teaching experience). As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours The instructor will deliver the course on campus face-to-face on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 PM – 6:45 PM. Instructors are expected to have one office hour per week. Sessional Lecturers may have preparatory work to do before the start date and sometimes may have to deal with grading tasks after the termination date.
