  • Prepare schedules, assign responsibilities, and coordinate staffing resources aligned with program needs and approved budget parameters.
  • Collaborate with school leadership and internal departments to support student transitions, enrolment processes, and family engagement.
  • Support program promotion, prospective family engagement, and student intake processes (including open houses as required).
  • Contribute to program planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide pedagogical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to educators in curriculum planning, inquiry-based learning, and early years practice.
  • Facilitate collaboration among educators and support professional learning opportunities for staff and parents.
  • Participate in meetings, performance review processes, school events, and other duties associated with the coordination function

Requirements summary

  • TRB Teacher’s Certificate and legal ability to work in Canada.

  • The role provides educational leadership, program oversight, and operational support to ensure the delivery of a safe, developmentally appropriate, and high-quality early learning environment.<br></br>In the Kindergarten Teacher component of the role, the incumbent is accountable for planning, delivering, and assessing developmentally appropriate, play-based, and inquiry-driven learning experiences that support foundational academic, social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • The position requires the application of sound instructional practice, classroom management, and effective communication with parents and caregivers.</p><p>In the Early Years Pedagogical Coordinator component of the role, the incumbent is accountable for the day-to-day coordination of the Junior Kindergarten program, including regulatory compliance, pedagogical alignment, documentation practices, staffing support, and program continuity.
