Requirements summary

Valid BC Teaching Certificate.
Eligibility for membership in the BC Teachers Regulation Branch.
Masters Degree in Special Education or a Post Graduate Diploma in Inclusive Education.
Formal training in Level B assessment.
5 successful years of classroom teaching experience.
2 successful years of special education teaching experience, including long term or regular TOC assignments in Special Education.
Experience collaboratively developing IEPs for students with a variety of educational needs (e.g., ASD, FASD, Learning Disability, academic remediation, behavioural challenges) within a multi-disciplinary team.
Demonstrated knowledge of inclusionary practices and Ministry of Education special education categories criteria.
Demonstrated knowledge of behavioural management programming (positive behaviour support, functional behaviour assessment, etc.).
Ability to apply a wide range of teaching and management strategies.
Computer technology skills to support and enhance learning

<div><strong>Posting #2627-221</strong></div><div><strong> Clarence Fulton Secondary School</strong></div> <div><strong><strong>1.0 FTE in the area of School Based Resource Teacher </strong></strong></div><div><strong><strong>Schedule in Consultation with Principal</strong></strong></div> <p> <strong><strong>This is a Temporary contract position. </strong></strong></p> <p>This position is effective September 8, 2026 and will continue until June 25, 2027, or the return of the incumbent whichever comes first. </p> <p><strong><strong>While all applicants will be considered, preference will be given to qualified applicants who self-declare Indigenous ancestry.</strong></strong></p> <p>The starting annual salary for a school teacher position ranges from $60,000 to $110,000, with placement on the range based on the length of service and qualifications in accordance in accordance with the collective agreement.
