THE FACULTY OF ARTS INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR CONTACT ACADEMIC STAFF POSITIONS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY Course Name History of Metis Course Number HIST-3625-250 Course Dates: 09/08/2026-12/03/2026 Contract Start Date August 17, 2026 Contract End Date January 25, 2027 Number of Classes 12 Class Times T/TH 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM Projected Enrolment 25 Credit Hours 3 Location of Course HBO-ACCESS Qualifications Post M.A. studies minimum ABD Remuneration $6,655 (inclusive of vacation pay based on 2019-2026 UWFA-CAS Agreement) Course Description: This lecture/seminar course examines the history of the Métis people from their origins in the fur trade era to the present.
