Requirements summary

BC Teaching Certificate.
3-5 years of teaching experience.
Gitxsan language and culture knowledge (asset).

Fundamental experience delivering land-based projects throughout the year.
Experience teaching multi-grade classrooms.
Knowledge and experience with Read Well, Nelson Literacy, Jump Math, and Math Makes Sense.
Knowledge and experience with Acadience and CAT 2 assessment tools.
Ability to differentiate instruction.
Excellent behaviour management strategies.
Team approach with educational assistants and support staff.
Excellent interpersonal skills with parents, community members, and elders.
Ability to create on-the-land experiences safely.
Criminal Record Check mandatory.
