Notes Course runs dependent on student enrollment Quick Link https://careers.saskpolytech.ca/postings/64743 Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA) Job Duties Job Duties Create an outline for the day, prepare the room and supplies prior to the start time and cleanup afterwards, teach and demonstrate related skills, provide scenarios and answer student’s questions, complete performance skill testing as required, submit any required paper work to Continuing Education, and finalize official grades. For distance labs, instructor is responsible for appropriately supplying the kit, packing and shipping out in a timely manner. Instructor will mark online video submissions and check/repack lab kit once it is returned. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Description Required Qualifications
- Completion of an ACP (Advanced Care Paramedic) program from an approved school. – A minimum of two years’ experience as an EMT-P/ACP. – Current license with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics. – Current Instructor level certification in International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) and CPR. – Current Provider level certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PedALS). – Understanding of an ability to apply basic principles and practices of adult education to assist learners with the required emergency health care knowledge and skills. – Well developed interpersonal and communication skills including excellent written and oral presentation skills and an ability to develop and maintain productive working relations with instructors, program administrators, employers, students, other clients and the public. – Experience facilitating Emergency Health Care students in a preceptor based practicum. – Demonstrates valuing diversity.
- Preference will be given to current Saskatchewan Polytechnic faculty.
