  • NIDES teachers commit to working online and face-to-face with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Teachers actively research, develop, and maintain advanced online curriculum and support blended instruction in classrooms, learning centers, and through tutorials.
  • They teach students province wide & work on-site at a Comox Valley School.</p></div><div><p>The successful candidate will demonstrate:</p></div><div><ul><li>Training, certification and/or direct experience teaching in an online learning (OL) environment</li><li>Experience, training and education related to the design and instruction of Grade 4-9 within an online learning environment</li><li>Advanced skills in maintaining an online classroom in a learning management system</li><li>Advanced skills in supporting assessment for learning (AFL) assessment practices and documentation for students, parents, and educators</li><li>Experience developing and implementing online learning platforms within the modern languages portfolio (Brightspace, Zoom, Teams) to enhance student learning</li><li>Ability to work with and provide tutorial support for students online and in person</li><li>Ability to support students with course adaptations and I.E.P.s</li></ul></div><div><p>Our educational team is committed to engaging learners to develop creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication and social competencies.
