QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Description Required Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited Level II Dental Assisting Program.
• Current License to practice Dental Assisting in Saskatchewan.
• Successful completion of Gingival Retraction Cord Module.
• Min. 2 years recent and relevant (2 years within the last 5 years) dental assisting experience in a dental office.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current gingival retraction cord principles and techniques.
• Recent experience in teaching gingival retraction cord skills and/or a recent experience of performing skills in a clinical environment.
• Ability to apply basic principles and practices of adult education to assist learners with the required knowledge and skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Preference will be given to current Saskatchewan Polytechnic faculty.
• Demonstrates valuing diversity. Desired QSA
