About the Role

We are seeking individuals who possess a strong understanding of child development, exceptional engagement skills, and a dedication to fostering positive relationships with both children and colleagues. The ideal candidate will be dependable, adaptable, fluent in English, and exhibit outstanding communication and multitasking abilities. Prior experience is advantageous, and candidates must possess or be willing to obtain Alberta Child Care certification levels 1, 2, or 3, along with current criminal record check (with vulnerable sector search) and first aid certification.

These are on-call positions where Directors will reach out to employees to cover shifts when regular Educators are absent. We are seeking individuals who have full-day availability at least three days per week. On average, employees can expect to work 1-4 shifts per week, depending on their preferences and the needs of the center.

  • Key Responsibilities Creating and implementing engaging programming tailored to the interests and needs of the children.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the environment.
  • Leading and supporting children in integrated learning and recreational activities.
  • Actively supervising and engaging with children while ensuring their well-being.
  • Cultivating positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Participating in professional development initiatives.
  • Adhering to Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Regulations and Magic Mountain's policies and procedures to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

Prior childcare experience is preferred Completion of (or willingness to obtain) Alberta Child Care certification levels 1, 2, or 3 is required Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search Valid First Aid and CPR certification Effective verbal and written communication skills including basic computer literacy Knowledge of Alberta child care legislation and licensing regulations would be an asset Why Join Magic Mountain?
