About the Role
We are seeking a Casual Educator at our Harvest Hills location in Edmonton. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development, exceptional engagement skills, and a dedication to fostering positive relationships with both children and colleagues. The individual will be dependable, adaptable, fluent in English, and exhibit outstanding communication and multitasking abilities. Prior experience is advantageous, and candidates must possess or be willing to obtain Alberta Child Care certification levels 1, 2, or 3, along with current criminal record check (with vulnerable sector search) and first aid certification.

This is an on-call positions where Directors will reach out to employees to cover shifts when regular Educators are absent. We are seeking individuals who have full-day availability at least three days per week. On average, employees can expect to work 1-4 shifts per week, depending on their preferences and the needs of the center.

Qualifications
Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search. Prior childcare experience is preferred. Completion of (or willingness to obtain) Alberta Child Care certification levels 1, 2, or 3 is required. Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search. Valid First Aid and CPR certification. Effective verbal and written communication skills including basic computer literacy.
