  • The District offers its respect to the Knowledge Keepers and all First Peoples who have been on these lands since time immemorial.</p><p> </p><p><b>Position: Casual On-Call Administrative/Office Support</b></p><p><b>Competition: S-26-095</b></p><p><b>Location/Dept: District Employee</b></p><p><b>Start Date: As soon as possible</b></p><p><b>Term of Employment: Continuing</b></p><p><b>Salary: $29.28 per hour</b></p><p><b>Posted: MAY 08, 2026</b></p><p><b>Application Deadline: 4:00 P.M., FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2026</b></p><p>We are searching for qualified, enthusiastic, and flexible individuals to join the Delta School District as casual, on-call employees to provide administrative support as needed to our schools and other locations throughout the District. </p><p> Successful applicants will have the following qualifications:</p><ul><li>Grade 12, plus the completion of a 6-month, post-secondary business or administrative assistant program or equivalent course work, including accounting.</li><li>A minimum of one year of recent, relevant experience providing administrative support.</li><li>Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office and Excel at intermediate levels; ability to learn a variety of computer programs and databases; and experience using e-mail and the Internet.</li><li>Keyboarding speed of at least 55 words per minute.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to adapt to different work environments.</li><li>Familiarity with the use and troubleshooting of a wide variety of office equipment.</li><li>Available Monday to Friday and the ability to travel to all School District locations in Ladner, Tsawwassen, and North Delta, often at short notice.</li></ul><p> Short listed candidates will be required to undergo skills testing which may include Microsoft Word and Excel, business writing, accounting, and basic office skills.</p><p> Only those applicants who are available five (5) days per week to work throughout the District will be considered.
