Core responsibilities
- Support students who are deaf or hard of hearing in classroom environments.
- Provide individualized instruction in social, listening, and communication skills.
- Develop and implement education plans such as ieps and positive behaviour support plans.
- Coordinate specialized services and liaise with external agencies.
- Support student access to specialized equipment.
- Act as case manager for student education and well-Being
Requirements summary
- Diploma or master’s in inclusive education with specialization in deaf or hard of hearing.
- Successful elementary or secondary teaching experience.
- Experience with strength-Based and udl frameworks.
- Experience developing and implementing ieps.
- Current cpi training (Asset)
