<div><strong></strong> <div>#2627-3 School District Office <br></br> 1.0 FTE in the area of District Technology Innovation Coordinator</div> <p>This is a Continuing Contract Position of Special Responsibility - Level 2</p> <p>Schedule to be determined in consultation with the Director of Innovation & Technology</p> <p>This position is effective September 8, 2026.</p> <div><strong></strong> <p>While all applicants will be considered, preference will be given to qualified applicants who self-declare Indigenous ancestry.</p> <p>Please contact Josh Vance, Director of Innovation & Technology, if you <br></br> have specific questions relating to this position.</p> </div> <div><strong> Qualifications</strong>:<br></br> </div> </div> <div><strong>· </strong>Broad knowledge of K – 12 curriculum, instruction and current educational research.</div> <div>· Demonstrated evidence of participation in a professional learning community coupled with an understanding and evidence of undertaking action research projects.</div> <div>· Demonstrated organizational skills and experience in coordinating a project involving a team including data analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the project.</div> <div>· Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of learning management systems, online communities and student reporting systems.</div> <div>· Demonstrated ability to manage projects with minimal supervision including offering visionary leadership in a content area</div> <div>· Demonstrated ability to work with administrators around technology planning and implementation</div> <div>· Demonstrated use of a variety of web tools and the ability to create instructional videos and training materials for online professional development</div> <div>· Demonstrated use of current technologies including podcasting,<b><u> <i>artificial intelligence, digital portfolios, collection of</i> <i>media artifacts</i> </u></b>and the development of learning objects and courses in<b><u> <i>D2L</i></u></b> or other learning management systems to support curriculum</div> <div>· Must be highly organized and be able to work in a challenging environment managing a variety of tasks simultaneously.</div> <div>· Demonstrated thorough knowledge of <i><b><u>ISTE Standards for students,</u></b></i> educators and coaches including digital literacy and citizenship.</div> <div>· Demonstrated experience working with teachers on a variety of instructional levels to plan curricular units supported by technology </div> <div>· Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct workshops as a staff developer.</div> <div>· Demonstrated ability to integrate technology seamlessly into curriculum to improve student achievement using technology.</div> <div>· Demonstrated understanding of the needs of adult learners and ability to support a variety of levels of users to embed technology into curriculum.</div> <div>· Demonstrated technology support in a PC environment </div> <div>· Must have valid BC Driver’s License and reliable transportation.</div> <div>· Effective written and oral interpersonal skills.</div> <div>· A highly effective team member.</div> <div>· Possess a valid BC Teaching Certificate, membership in the BC Teachers Regulation Branch and eligible for a Teachers Qualification Card.</div> <div><strong> </strong></div> <div><strong><strong>Roles & Responsibilities:</strong></strong></div> <div><b>The District Technology Innovation Teachers work under the direction of the Director of <u>innovation and technology.</u> </b></div><div><strong><strong> Role and responsibilities are as follows:</strong></strong></div> <p><strong>·</strong> <strong> </strong>to provide mentorship to teachers and students regarding technology and communication literacy. This is accomplished by on-site training to classes of students with their teacher.</p> <p><strong>· </strong> to provide on-site technology mentorship to any district staff</p> <p><strong>· </strong> to facilitate and support the integration of technology into the curriculum</p> <p>· <strong> </strong> to provide workshops for teachers, support staff and administrators on the use of educational applications of software and hardware technologies</p> <p>· <strong> </strong> to evaluate as requested, educational uses of hardware and software</p> <p>· <strong> </strong> to liaise with the technology department regarding installation, set-up and maintenance with district technologies, networks and server operations</p> <p>· <strong> </strong> to maintain and update an approved list of websites <u><b><i>and software</i></b></u> that may improve learning</p> <p>· <strong> </strong> to deliver curriculum in the classroom </p> <p>· <strong> </strong> to offer training and in-service both during and outside regular instructional hours </p> <p>· <strong> </strong> to work with other District Teachers to facilitate the use of various technologies to improve learning</p> <p>· <strong> </strong> to develop and maintain <u><b><i>our website with</i></b></u> instructional video of training materials for online professional development</p> <p><strong><strong></strong></strong></p> <p><strong><strong> </strong></strong> </p> <p><strong><strong> </strong></strong> </p> <p> </p> <div> </div>
