Core responsibilities
The child and youth worker provides assessment, intervention, and treatment to children and youth experiencing social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties in a classroom setting. They collaborate with a multi-Disciplinary team to ensure student safety, facilitate therapeutic groups, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have a post-Secondary education in child and youth care, social work, or a related field, along with at least one year of relevant experience. Proficiency in crisis intervention methodologies and strong interpersonal skills are required, along with a valid driver's license and a satisfactory police record check.
