Core responsibilities
The child and youth worker is responsible for fostering a responsive, empathetic, and nurturing therapeutic environment for children and youth in a live-In treatment setting, working closely with them, their families, and the treatment team. This role involves active participation in planning, implementing, and assessing clinical treatment plans, including assisting youth in their transition to adult living within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have a post-Secondary education in child and youth care, social work, or a related field, along with a minimum of one year of experience working in a milieu setting utilizing various interventions. Essential requirements include maintaining certification in agency-Approved crisis intervention methodology and possessing a valid driver's license with a clear abstract.
