Mino Bimaadiziwin Grandfather - Competition 2026-026

The mino bimaadiziwin grandfather will work directly with first nations families involved in the child and family services system to ensure their spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional needs are met, aiming for healthy families capable of caring for their children. Key activities include assisting reunified families, developing long-Term goals, providing advice, and incorporating culturally appropriate intervention skills and teachings.

A grade 12 education is required, though a college or university education is preferred, along with knowledge of first nation issues in child welfare, justice, and health services. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, proficiency in microsoft office, and a valid class 5f driver's license with a vehicle, with flexibility for travel.
