Core responsibilities
Early childhood educators and assistants are responsible for ensuring a safe and engaging environment by designing and leading activities tailored to the children's developmental stages using the ymca playing to learn curriculum. They must also cultivate positive relationships with parents, colleagues, and community partners to deliver high-Quality childcare.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess basic early childhood educator assistant (Ecea) certification recognized in british columbia and are required to obtain emergency first aid and cpr-C & aed certification within 30 days of starting. Infant toddler educator or special needs educator licenses, along with related training, are considered assets.
