Justice and Correctional Services - Prevention Program Assistant (Youth Services)

The assistant provides general support for implementing prevention programs like snap and alternative suspension, including on-The-Ground delivery, ensuring attention for children with special needs, and communicating progress to parents. Functional duties involve preparing materials, substituting for the primary youth worker, monitoring learning environments, and assisting the prevention program officer with program presentation and implementation.

Candidates must possess a college diploma in social work or a related field, along with one to three years of relevant work experience. Essential knowledge includes a good understanding of cree culture, customs, and history, alongside strong empathy, communication, organizational, and problem-Solving skills.
